Hi everyone,

Sorry for the two part (off-topic) message. This first part is a copy of
what was posted to Facebook the other night, by Sean, KX9X. He also
mentions it in the most recent ARRL Letter.

Scroll down for my comments.

Traveling to Dayton Hamvention and want to do an NPOTA activation, but
don't want to mess with bringing gear? No problem! ARRL has arranged a
special use permit during Hamvention to activate the Dayton Aviation
Heritage National Historical Park (HP11) from the Wright-Dunbar
Interpretive Center, 16 South Williams Street, in downtown Dayton!

Two stations will be available for you to use. Operations will be Friday
5/20 and Saturday 5/21 9AM-5PM, and Sunday 5/22 from 9AM - Noon.You can
sign up for a 15-minute slot on a first-come, first-served basis. You can
use your own call. Ops are limited to one slot, in order to make this
available for as many people as possible.

This is possible all because of ARRL Ohio Affiliated Club Coordinator John
Myers <https://www.facebook.com/john.myers.750>, who has graciously
volunteered to coordinate on-site operations. John is looking for
volunteers to help with operator logistics and to explain Amateur Radio to
the non-ham visitors to the site. If you would like to volunteer (even for
an hour or two) or to sign up for a slot, email John at KD8MQ1 at gmail.com

Special thanks to Vibroplex for their support, and to the staff of the
Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center; they are thrilled to be working with
NPOTA.

See you there!

OK, this is from me, KD8MQ

I need help. Here's the deal.

First) If you'll be in town for the Hamvention, and can spare some time,
I’m signing up volunteers to both supervise the station, and talk to
visitors about Amateur Radio. Like you, I'm in Dayton for the Hamvention.
I'd like to line up enough people that we can all make it to the
Hamvention. If you are willing to donate a couple hours during Hamvention,
please drop me a line at kd8mq at arrl.net.

The stations will be at 22 S. Williams St, Dayton. This is a short 15
minute drive from Hara. https://goo.gl/maps/6pPGzLcQHx22
