You can view it at kd8mq.net/pqp The rare county page will get updated, but possibly not until after Dayton (More on that in a future e-mail). Enjoy! Message-ID: Hi everyone, Sorry for the two part (off-topic) message. This first part is a copy of what was posted to Facebook the other night, by Sean, KX9X. He also mentions it in the most recent ARRL Letter. Scroll down for my comments. ========================== Traveling to Dayton Hamvention and want to do an NPOTA activation, but don't want to mess with bringing gear? No problem! ARRL has arranged a special use permit during Hamvention to activate the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park (HP11) from the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, 16 South Williams Street, in downtown Dayton! Two stations will be available for you to use. Operations will be Friday 5/20 and Saturday 5/21 9AM-5PM, and Sunday 5/22 from 9AM - Noon. You can sign up for a 15-minute slot on a first-come, first-served basis. You can use your own call. Ops are limited to one slot, in order to make this available for as many people as possible. This is possible all because of ARRL Ohio Affiliated Club Coordinator John Myers , who has graciously volunteered to coordinate on-site operations. John is looking for volunteers to help with operator logistics and to explain Amateur Radio to the non-ham visitors to the site. If you would like to volunteer (even for an hour or two) or to sign up for a slot, email John at KD8MQ1 at gmail.com Special thanks to Vibroplex for their support, and to the staff of the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center; they are thrilled to be working with NPOTA. See you there! -------------------------- OK, this is from me, KD8MQ I need help. Here's the deal. First) If you'll be in town for the Hamvention, and can spare some time, I?m signing up volunteers to both supervise the station, and talk to visitors about Amateur Radio. Like you, I'm in Dayton for the Hamvention. I'd like to line up enough people that we can all make it to the Hamvention. If you are willing to donate a couple hours during Hamvention, please drop me a line at kd8mq at arrl.net. The stations will be at 22 S. Williams St, Dayton. This is a short 15 minute drive from Hara. https://goo.gl/maps/6pPGzLcQHx22 . If you can help, please let me know. I can be reached at kd8mq at arrl.net. 73 DE KD8MQ From mcoslo at comcast.net Thu May 12 21:42:43 2016 From: mcoslo at comcast.net (Michael Coslo) Date: Thu, 12 May 2016 21:42:43 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] Records updated Message-ID: <3F5E70BB-74FF-460D-8CBD-909113055EEE@comcast.net> Good day all, The records pages have been updated at http://nittany-arc.net/PAQSO.html Do take a look, and let me know. I have found mistakes on both ends, including a Y2K bug (sounds like ?The dog ate my homework", and an address bug that made people who moved look as if they always worked from their new address. I also restored AA3B?s Berks single record to it?s rightful place. -73 de Mike N3LI - From mcoslo at comcast.net Mon May 16 15:41:13 2016 From: mcoslo at comcast.net (Michael Coslo) Date: Mon, 16 May 2016 15:41:13 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] Bonus station reprise Message-ID: <4700EA58-6D21-480D-8013-AB9BF1407299@comcast.net> I?ve been doing two years of bonus stations in past years. It?s a way to allow groups to have more tim to prepare their efforts. The downside of that, is that there is more time for a schedule conflict to arise, and sure enough, that has happened for the Harrisburg club this year. So, we do have an opening for a bonus station for the 2016 PQP. Any groups interested are encouraged to contact me, and put together a plan. Thanks much. -73 de Mike N3LI - From no3m at no3m.net Mon May 16 20:52:35 2016 From: no3m at no3m.net (Eric NO3M) Date: Mon, 16 May 2016 20:52:35 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] Records updated In-Reply-To: <3F5E70BB-74FF-460D-8CBD-909113055EEE@comcast.net> References: <3F5E70BB-74FF-460D-8CBD-909113055EEE@comcast.net> Message-ID: <91828676-0892-bc29-0619-bfac23b30d81@no3m.net> Couple corrections: 260,675 pts was N3LL's old CRA record, new score record for CRA should be 316,664 (NO3M / QRP 2015) The overall QRP record should be updated to 316,664 (NO3M / QRP 2015). 73 Eric NO3M On 05/12/2016 09:42 PM, Michael Coslo wrote: > Good day all, > > The records pages have been updated at http://nittany-arc.net/PAQSO.html > > Do take a look, and let me know. Come celebrate the 70?th anniversary of the Harrisburg Radio Amateur Club this fall as they operate our party bonus station. Sorry for any confusion I may have started! More info on the effort as it develops. And although I believe the records are now pretty well updated and accurate, let me know if you or your club have been shortchanged, and we?ll get it fixed. -73 de Mike N3LI -
