We had a blast, operating from 31 different counties during the course of the contest. Thanks to NARC for sponsoring the QSO Party, thanks to Skyview Amateur Radio Society for sponsoring the plaque (maybe see you in Butler for another photo-op!), thanks for Union City Wireless Association for letting us use their fine Pennsylvania-sounding club call (W3CG), and thanks, thanks, and thanks again to Mike Coslo and anyone else who sweats bullets to do the really hard parts of the contest. 73, -Peter Albright (AA2AD) and Laurie Albright (N3KZI) entering as W3CG/m From mcoslo at comcast.net Wed Apr 6 18:40:47 2016 From: mcoslo at comcast.net (Michael Coslo) Date: Wed, 6 Apr 2016 18:40:47 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] Records updated Message-ID: The records have been updated at http://nittany-arc.net/PAQSO.html There have been some changes in the records, to address some splits that should have been made. Specifically, High power classes have been split into Single, Multi Single, and Multi-Multi. The same for Medium power. Mobile has been split into Mobile Single and Mobile-Multi Rover has been split into Rover-Single and Rover-Multi Novice/Tech is retired. Now to the present records There were several records set during the 2015 PAQSO Party Single operator Crawford County - N03M with 260,675 points QRP Lancaster County - N3AD with 270,898 points Tioga County - K3WJV with 134,232 points Multi-Operator stations Clinton County - N3IW with 174,458 points Lehigh County - KC3WX with 246,964 points Sullivan County - WQ3N with 179,768 points Washington County - N3TIR with 162,468 points Out of State Rhode Island - W1KDA with 25,592 points Canada - VE8NSD with 168 points CW Out of State is a new plaque class, so I dug through my records to find that the OOS CW record is held by AD8J, with 186,142 points in 2003. Which - by the way, is also correcting an injustice. It turns out that John AD8J also owns the Record for North Carolina, set the same year. So it is also in yellow on the records pdf as a new record. A 13 year belated congratulations to John, and my sincere apologies for that mistake. -73 de Mike N3LI - From no3m at no3m.net Wed Apr 6 21:03:38 2016 From: no3m at no3m.net (Eric NO3M) Date: Wed, 6 Apr 2016 21:03:38 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] Records updated In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <5705B1EA.5030308@no3m.net> Just a couple corrections: 260,675 pts was N3LL's old CRA record, new score record for CRA should be 316,664 (NO3M / QRP) The overall QRP should be updated to 316,664 (NO3M / QRP). 73 Eric NO3M On 04/06/2016 06:40 PM, Michael Coslo wrote: > The records have been updated at http://nittany-arc.net/PAQSO.html > > There have been some changes in the records, to address some splits that should have been made. > > Specifically, High power classes have been split into Single, Multi Single, and Multi-Multi. > The same for Medium power. > > Mobile has been split into Mobile Single and Mobile-Multi > > Rover has been split into Rover-Single and Rover-Multi > > Novice/Tech is retired. > > Now to the present records > > There were several records set during the 2015 PAQSO Party > > Single operator > > Crawford County - N03M with 260,675 points QRP > Lancaster County - N3AD with 270,898 points > Tioga County - K3WJV with 134,232 points > > Multi-Operator stations > > Clinton County - N3IW with 174,458 points > Lehigh County - KC3WX with 246,964 points > Sullivan County - WQ3N with 179,768 points > Washington County - N3TIR with 162,468 points > > Out of State > > Rhode Island - W1KDA with 25,592 points > > > Canada - VE8NSD with 168 points > > CW Out of State is a new plaque class, so I dug through my records to find that the OOS CW record is held by AD8J, with 186,142 points in 2003. > > Which - by the way, is also correcting an injustice. We were a group of hams from the Loudoun Amateur Radio Group in Loudoun County, Virginia. We set up a field-day type operation at the family farm of one of our members, Norm Styer, AI2C. Norm, a fine DX'er an contester, is now a SK; he passed away last year. I did a writeup of our operation that was published in the July/August 2007 edition of the NCJ.
