[PaQSO] Should mobiles self-spot?

Several state QSO Parties allow APRS on mobiles, which is "continuous
self spotting" as long as you know the band on which they're operating.
Many other encourage folks to use spotting networks for spotting the
stations they're working, especially for those working mobiles. Seems
like spotting and use of spotting for single op stations surely helped
the mobiles in the recent Ohio QSO party. I'd have LOVED to have
continuous connection to the internet while out in the sticks of CLINton
county.
I've most generally operated portable and <5 watts in the Ohio and
Michigan QSO Parties. When someone spots me, I get deluged with a
pileup (small in comparison to a DXpedition to a rare location, but
nevertheless,) of a "run" of 5, 10, or more in a very few minutes. It
certainly helps when I'm in a rare county where few, if any, other fixed
stations are on the air. :)
So, to those working S&P, I'd encourage spotting of all stations you're
working. Many (most?) logging programs have that function built in, you
only need an internet connection and be known by an DXcluster.
