[PaQSO] Should mobiles self-spot? A question

Hello Mike!

Looks like activity will be great for this year's PA QSO party! Congrats on
running the best QSO party in the USA

Just to get some clarity - there are two types of "Spotting functions" being
discussed here today.

#1 is Spotting stations "you hear" (traditional assisted mode with NO self
spotting)

#2 is Spotting yourself (aka "self spotting") as well as others you hear.

Currently there are no HF contests that allow self spotting. Yet.

For the record:
Does the PA QSO party encourage (allow) self spotting in addition to
spotting stations you hear?

Hee is the official response:

PAQSO has no "assisted class".

So spotting is allowed.

In fact, we 100 percent encourage it - especially for Mobiles and Rovers.
