Congrads to Bud/AA3B. Another great performance - as usual.
Conditions challenging. A index was 55 at beginning of contest. Now 13 - still
too high. Very few EU worked. Missed NUM and UNI.
Broke LAN county record.

All,
Thanks for working the W3YA club station in this weekend's contest. We
worked Multi Multi Medium Power, although we were only running one radio a
majority of the contest.. Of all our operators, only one had ever contested
before, and myself and another have only had our Amateur General for a
month or so, so thanks for your patience.
We had 503? QSO's, all SSB (I'm pretty sure), with 124? multipliers. We
worked the bonus station a couple times. Raw score something around 64,000?
Everything is up at the club station until I can get up there and get it
ready to send down, so I don't have it in-front of me. We were only lacking
BED and and MTR for the 67.
Again thanks for making my first contest a bunch of fun.
Evan

Hi everyone,
I missed 6 counties for the sweep, and just broke 40K before closing down
for the weekend.
Hi points, I worked two 6 meter stations, one a county line. also managed
to work a PSK QSO.
There's a lot of room for personal improvement next year.
Here's my stats. The high point for me was working Ray, W3TDF.

HI PAQP,
Thanks for putting on a very strong QSO Party! I couldn't give this one a
full-time effort, like I wanted to due to a family party today... I
returned around 2100z to work at least one full hour today.
I was planning to run QRP, but I immediately realized that it was going to
be very difficult for me to reach PA using QRP on 40m. .
>From South Carolina the only bands that I could use to reach PA were 40m
and 80m. 40m was usable to PA all day on Saturday and I hate that I missed
the 'all day on 40m opportunity on Sunday.
Special thanks to the mobiles and rovers who helped me with 12-13
counties, Tough to work the mobiles on Saturday.. Sigs were better on
Sunday. By the way, there were a lot of fixed stations 'running' in the
mobile window. I worked the following mobiles... N2CU, W3CG, K0BAK and
NR3C. If there were more mobiles out there, I didn't hear them.
I was able to work W3C on Sunday morning on cw and Sunday afternoon on
phone. I didn't hear W3C on 40m on Saturday, don't know if they were on or
not.
I log manually (because I enjoy the pen & paper./keyer mode) then enter the
Qs into N3FJP. I worked a few county-lines so I hope that N3FJP allows me
to enter all of the counties. I worked KB3SGY on Clarion, Jefferson and
Armstrong. I most of the QPs, there would be logged as separate QSOs, but I
guess this would be tricky due to the use of the serial number in the
exchange.
It was great to work several fellow QPers and to make new PA friends.
Next year, I'm planning to break the SC record and get a clean sweep!

Another fun PAQP! Most of my hours were on Saturday. 20m was a bust for SC
to
PA, so I spent 90% on 40m and little 80m Saturday night. I was able to work
PA
all day on 40m. Thanks to the mobiles and rovers for their effort... Good
mix
of activity on cw and phone. Hope I can work it FT next year. 73s Dave

Comments:
For the first time in about 15 years I did not get to PA as
a mobile or rover. A
combination of reasons: no readily available driver; an
extended family clambake
on Saturday; upcoming road trips to NJ and Florida; my
mother, who had lived in
Hermitage, having passed away since last year; a sense
that there was already
pretty good county coverage; and a uniquely difficult
log submission process.
But I did want to get on, and decided it was also a
good opportunity to get
some time on the KX3. Conditions to PA were pretty
good, other than early
Sunday when WPA was not very strong on 40. I suspect I
could have done more on
160 had I not retired for the night at 0230Z. I managed
six bands with NO3M,
and could have done seven if Ty was QRV on six. On six I
did hear KD8MQ (pretty
weak) and N3XF (pretty strong) but neither heard
me.
I was impressed by the close breakdown between CW and SSB on both 80 and
40.
All in all, interesting to see the contest from the fixed station
perspective.
