K0BAK "final" rover plan for PA QSO Party. Everything subject to change of course.

Last year was my first year, and I learned that I needed a time plan not just a location plan.

This year I learned that all reasonably priced hotel rooms within 1000 square miles around Penn State are booked early for a football weekend, so I should have planned much much earlier.

At this rate of learning, I'll be an expert in 27 years. :-)

I planned my stops to actually operate for about 30 minutes each. Not much total operating time, but that's the life of a rover. In addition to the verticals I may have a 40m hamstick dipole on the roof for an NVIS, but haven't tried mounting it on the minivan yet (it does work surprisingly well 8' above the ground though).

Saturday, mostly at high locations with a 27' elevated ground plane vertical:

CAM, Cambria
BLA, Blair
BED, Bedford
SOM, Somerset
FUL, Fulton

Saturday after dark, time and stamina dependent, inefficient coil loaded vertical for fast setup:

FRA, Franklin
HUN, Huntingdon (unlikely but possible)
BED, Bedford, backtrack to operate low at the hotel, prob. on 80m if at all

Sunday, mix of high and low locations, 27' vertical antenna:

MIF, Mifflin
JUN, Juniata
PER, Perry
DAU, Dauphin

Sunday, sprinting home after 2:30, inefficient coil loaded vertical for fast setup, as many of these as I can:

LAN, Lancaster
LEB, Lebanon
BER, Berks
CHE, Chester
MGY, Montgomery

Good luck to everyone, looking forward to contacting you on the air. I'm hoping for dry weather; I'm in flooded Columbia SC at the moment.
