Good day all,

The second full weekend of October is getting close, so I gotta step up to the plate, and make some announcements.

First announcement:

The 2015 Bonus Station will be a MM effort from Wyoming County by  the KQX group under the callsign W3C. We’ll have more details as they become available. You can check on them on their Facebook Page - search for their URL under “The KQX Group”

I have updated the rules with W3C noted available on the website:

Second announcement:

Remember Mobileers and Rovers, that there are guidelines for your log and summary submissions. They are at http://www.nittany-arc.net/paqsomobiles.html

In addition, since we’ve had many mobile efforts going to a LOT of counties, it generates a lot of documentation. Last year I implemented a Dropbox account. So if you have a mobile or Rover effort and it exceeds your mail capacity, send me an email, and I’ll give you the address of the dropbox.


Third announcement:

Despite selling promotional materials of a long, long time, the company store we implemented last year is now history, along with all promotional sales except 67 county plaques.

There has been a trend of high initial sales that then taper off over a few years, and while adding caps for last year, there was no demand for them.

Our promotional materials, which are used to offset party costs just aren’t doing that any more. We took a pretty good beating the last few years, as sales have fallen below minimum order amounts.

And while I’m not tasked with being a profit center, I’m not allowed to drive NARC to the poorhouse either.

We will still have the PayPal account and page for the 67 county plaques and for sponsor’s support as well as donations.

And those donations have now assumed increased importance.
