Pass the diner (divided hwy) and safely turn left at the next light on Penn Drive, and another left to access the parking lot from the rear. We meet in the banquet room and the meeting program is a look back at the PA QSO Party with special guests including "da Grump," W3TDF and Mike Coslo, N3LI from the Nittany ARC. Im just looking for an idea about how long to feel smug and happy thinking all is well before knowing for sure it really is. Re your log - all is well to this point, and no reason to believe it will not stay FB. A lot depends on how many logs come in close to the deadline. I?ve been pushing the dates back a little bit, and this year, with the changes in log and summary sheet submissions, it should be sooner. I make no promises, but I?d be pretty excited to have the prelims posted by late November/early December. In addition, the time between the preliminary scores and the final scores should be likewise shortened. Since I have everyone?s ears at the moment, a few notes on the log submissions and how they are working out so far. The new system has resulted in a lot more logs coming in earlier, and on an empirical basis, it appears that a lot of people who might not have submitted one before have this year due to the relative ease of submissions. It is monumentally easier on me for certain. If an Op has not submitted a summary sheet, or if it has bad or no data on it, I send out an email requesting one. Some small logs just get one made up by me if missing. note: On the PDF form we provide, make sure you fill it out in Adobe reader (or Acrobat if you have it). Not all web browsers have the ability to save pdf forms correctly. In addition, it?s always a good idea to have the latest Adobe reader, although I try to make the form compatible back to version 8. So when the preliminary scores are posted, look through them to find your call sign, and if you do not see it, let me know so we can get your effort in there. Finally, for our mobile Ops, I am going to make a little tutorial online regarding how to fill out mobile entry submissions. With all the different features and bonuses we have, it can get a little confusing. That should be on line some time next year before the 2015 party. > Also, Im waiting to submit the check for the cost of the Clean Sweep award until I hear back that I officially qualify. > > And, if OK with the club, I'd like to submit one check to cover both the Clean Sweep plaque AND this year's donation to NARC. After the preliminary scores are online, check them out to see if your score is there. If you don?t see it, get hold of me via the comcast address, not the paqsolog email. We?ll get things figured out. In other news, I?ll be posting an updated records listing as soon as I get feedback from one more person. The records have been awkward to work with in the past, and I have updated them in an easier to read - and modify manner. So check them out, and if you see an error, let me know. Then after we get any fixes needed, I?ll try to automate them. -73 de Mike N3LI -
