Over the last few years, I've used both N3FJP, & N1MM.
I've found them both to be adequate.
I made the decision a year, or two ago to dive in, and use N1MM
exclusively. I didn't find the learning curve to be all that bad.
The best advice I can give for using N1MM is to install it well in advance
of the contest, and Become familiar with it.
Don't forget to update it just before the contest.
