[PaQSO] 20 Meter Operation

Just a note on 20 Meter PA QSO Party mobile operation

Please note that that I purchased a 20 meter mobile stick just for the 
PA QSO Party and started operations on hill tops.

The two problems I ran into  on both 10 and 20 Meters was one; band 
conditions were not that great with higher than normal noise levels.
The Second issue; there were other contests going on. Little low powered 
mobile stations did not have a chance against big guns... that is why I 
went to 40.

I should also note that tuning the recommended frequencies I never heard 
one station calling CQ PA QSO Party on 20 or even 10.

Only had one response  to my CQs.

Did anyone else notice higher than average noise levels?  It may have 
been worse because I was using a vertical mobile stick.
It was not the location, as I noted high noise in all 6 counties.
It was not mobile engine noise - motor was turned off and it was not 
noticed on 40 meters.

I would like to hear from others who tried to operated on 20 meters to 
see what they experienced.
