Trusted QSL will recognize most of the major contest templates in the Cabrillo format.  If your are signing a Cabrillo log file for a lesser know contest such as a QSO party you may get a “unknown contest” error message.

Of course the simplest solution to this “unknown contest” error is to export the contest log
ADIF file then sign the ADIF file using TrustedQSL.  This assumes that you have access to the
logging program used during the contest.

If you get an “unknown contest” error when signing a Cabrillo log file and cannot export an
ADIF file of the contest log then you can map Trusted QSL to accept the template for this contest.  Step-by-step
instructions to do this are in the help section of TQSL.

1.     Open TQSL (not TQSL CERT)
2.     Select HELP.
3.     Select Contents
4.     Expand [TQSL Help] folder
5.     Expand [Configuration Operations] folder
6.     Select [Adding and Deleting Cabrillo Contest Definitions]

You will need to know the field of the call worked.  Do not count “QSO:” as a field.  In
this example the fields are 1. Frequency, 2. Mode, 3. Date, 4. UTC time, 5.
My Call, 6. Sent report, 7. Station worked, 8. Received report. The
station worked – YT1A is in field number seven.
