I don't know how many of you knew him, but I just found out...

Ron Lape K3MI, a well known radio amateur in the Pittsburgh Pa area, passed
away on December 4, 2012.

Ron was laid to rest in the 'National Cemetery of the Alleghenies', with
full military honors, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

Ron had many friends in the Pittsburgh Pa area. He was very active with
Geratol Net, and the South West Pennsylvania Packet Group. Ron was an avid
dxer and held many dx awards from both the ARRL and CQ Magazine. 

Ron also had many friends in the military as he served his country for a
long time before retiring. He lived his retirements years in the Brownsville
and Perryopolis Pa area.
