Don't want to butt in on PAQSO biz, but when QRP ARCI was trying to get
all state QSO parties covered acouple years ago, we had 6different
single op stations operating as K6JSS/COUNTY during the Michigan QSO
party. This did confuse some folks, because they couldn'tfigure out how
a "mobile" signing K6JSS/SAGI could have moved more than a 100 miles in
10 minutes or less and besigning K6JSS/MECO (for example). We had a
hard time upon occasion convincing them that we were anOK contact.
Would it be permissibleto the organizers of the PAQSO party for several
stations to be operating at the same time, on different bands and modes,
from different locations, using the same call? It certainly would be
legal under the FCC's rules. (The idea you mentioned of having a roving
mobile and a fixed station probably would say that this was OK.) It
would "probably" be best that all stations be in the same county, I
suspect, but with a local club that probably wouldn't be too hard to
accomplish. In doing this, interference between rigs on the same band
but different mode, often a problem with a multi-multi station, would be
mitigated. The stations/operators could be chosen for the "best"signal
for each band/mode. If you don'thave enough stations for concurrent
operation on all bands, stations could be assigned for several bands,
for example, say 10 meters during the day, 80 or 160 meters after dark, etc.
Just a thought - thinking outside the box.
