Amen!  PAQP weekend is a PSU home game against University of Michigan.  Now
that I've moved to State College I find new reasons to go operate portable
at some remote location during the PA QSO Party, and in this case it is to
avoid the tailgate mess!

I haven't decided where I'll operate yet, but it will be outside of Centre
County, for sure!  I'll make sure to post here when I figure it out.  I'm
open for suggestions as well.  What rare county would people like to have
me operate from this year?  I had a great time in Cameron a few years ago,
and have already done Mifflin, Snyder, Potter, and Clinton.  Someplace new
would be nice just so I can see something different.

Oh, also, I was informed over this past weekend that having my 8-land
callsign here in PA may actually be somewhat appropriate as prior to WWII
there were at least parts of PA that were part of the old 8th Call Area.
Of course at that time the Upper Peninsula of Michigan was part of the 9th
Call Area, helping prove the case that the U.P. should be its own state!
So, having found that out, gives me even more reason to keep my 8-land
callsign, especially while living here in Centre County!
