Mike,

You may want to look at the category names that are used by the Cabrillo 2.0
or 3.0 specifications and describe your contest categories using these
terms. Cabrillo 3.0 will give you more options.

When you use the names that match the selections in the Cabrillo
specification, you have a greater chance of receive log files using these
exact names. It will also be easy for the contesters to configure and submit
logs correctly.

If you do decide to switch to Cabrillo 3.0, give the developers enough time
to change their software.

John, K3CT

Subject: [PaQSO] Special event station requests and other stuff.

Good evening all,

We're looking for Special event Station candidates for the 2012 PAQSO Party.

I had a few groups contact me about the Special event station already, would
you caontact me agin, I think one group got an answer about something, but
not from me, so I want to get things straight and not leave anyone out who
is interested.

My intentions are to decide by the end of February.

In other news, I have a new class I want to put in. We've had a fair number
of mobiles, and I'm going to separate the multi-ops form the single ops.
Most multi-ops can operate easily while on the move, while most single
mobile Ops will operate while stationary. I'd like 2 separate plaques for
this.

Right now, DLARC sponsors the Mobile Plaque. They get first dibs on which
one they want to sponsor.

In addition, There is a Portable single division. Is there interest in a
Portable Multi award? There are enough multiple Op portables now.
