I'm loading up my car this afternoon for the start from Wayne County. Before the contest, I am going to find a freq on the high end of 40 meters for a QSO with K3VQR. So if anyone wants to make sure they work Wayne, you can at least find me there.
I will be doing the same thing on Sunday morning from Montour. Look for a freq before the contest starts on the high end of 40.
Have a great weekend guys. The weather looks tremendous. And for sure stay safe
Herb K2LNS
Treasurer Murgas ARC
Will be running the Call K3YTL/Rover

Hi, just checking to see if Bob is on the list. Seems his computer has
been hijacked and is sending out links we shouldn't click on. I don't
know if a reply will get to him - so if you're reading this Bob........

Current plan for K8RYU/R is as follows:
Saturday JUN, HUN, Perhaps PER, then ADA and FRA.
Sunday FUL, BED, SOM, FAY, and GRE, as time permits en-route home.
In other words, it's pretty much the usual routine. However,
the list may shorten because of the (hopefully) better conditions
than in previous years. We will probably not move until the rate
drops off.
Will be on 160 at sunset and later in the evening.

Hi everyone,
I just updated to the latest version of N1MM logging software. In searching
the updates, I find that there was an update this summer that pertains to
the bonus station for the PA QSO Party. I'm not sure of the details, but
wanted to remind everyone to install the latest update for N1MM before the
contest (the latest update was October 4th).
Hope everyone has a great time! We are leaving for JEF in the AM. I'll be
roving from there.

For N1MM Logger program users, I posted a call history file on the N1MM
website made from various logs. The information from Bud's last update is at
the end of the file. If you want to edit this list use NotePad.
Make sure you have the latest public program version installed. There was a
change in the call history import code in the latest version.
To download, visit the N1MM Logger web page, "left single click" on Files,
scroll down to the bottom of the page, right click on
PAQsoCallHistory2011.txt and select SaveAs. Start N1MM Logger, with your
2011 PA QSO log open, click File, Import, Import Call History, and import
this file. Click on Config and checkmark Call History LookUp. After the QSO
party click on Config and un-check Call History LookUp.
I will likely update the file tomorrow before the start.

John,
As I understand it and from previous use of similar features, when you fill
out a callsign in the log it will auto-populate the exchange info, such as
the county or section. You can over-ride that auto-input manually, but it
can safe some keystrokes. On the other hand, as some of us operate portable
from different counties every year, the information from last year would not
be valid for this year. Not sure what it does with rovers or mobiles.
Okay, I'm shutting down the compuker, heading out the door to get a few more
grocery supplies and then heading off to Cameron County. Hope to be there
no later than 11 AM to start setting up antennas. If all goes well, I'll be
checking into the net this evening.
73 and GL to all!

Mark/All:
I used N1MM on the 7QP/INQP/NEQP a few months ago.
It fills in all the data from an earlier QSO, which you can check with
the current data. If you had worked the station on the same band, it
indicates "DUPE" until you put in a different county. Then in accepts
these new data and you may enter the Q with no complaint from the
programme. There is even a way it will accept a "DUPE," but I don't
recall the extra key or keystroke which permits this.
I don't recall what happens if you work a mobile on the same band three
or more times - but I know it handles this situation.
Try it on a "practice log" if you wish to become familiar with this feature.
GL to all the folks in Pennsylvania this weekend.
