Hi Ron and all,
I suspect a breakdown in communication somewhere. Pete, W3WC has been piping
much of the output of this reflector into the AVRA Yahoo Group, so the event
is getting plenty of exposure. You will see my call on Bud's next list,
activating Erie County. I know of several other AVRA members who are
planning to power up their rigs, at least one after significant antenna and
equipment upgrades. I do not know of a single member who has stated that he
or she will not participate.
Fear not, or be scared if you wish, we will be there! :)

Subject: [PaQSO] QRZ Jefferson?
Anyone know who will be activating Jefferson County for the contest yet?
I'm curious, because there was a post this evening (ironically enough, on MY
Pa QSO Party announcement thread) on an internet forum from someone claiming
to be in the "Punxsutawney club" that implies that no one in that group is
planning to be on for the contest.
Of course, he also promotes next February's Groundhog Day Special Event
Station. which will be operating on 14.350, so he says, so I'm inclined to
take this, um, gentleman's statements with more than a grain of salt.
