Wayne county not being active is kind of a surprise.  There are a whole lot of fixed stations in Wayne county, I even worked one of them while I was in Pike. I do know one op this year had his wedding reception on the saturday of the contest. I can say that KA3QLF/M spent in excess of 2 hours in Wayne county this year...both CW and SSB. an hour and a half in the early part of Sunday, and a half hour near the end of the contest. I'll state this also in my summary and synopsis yet to come, but Super Kudos to W3BC, for relenquishing his SSB run freq when I called him, so that I would have a clear freq to run on SSB.  I would imagine Wayne County will also be on the list of counties for next years KA3QLF/M venture, for my driver is already amped up and tweaking our routes.

Subject: [PaQSO] Wayne County

I had to take a business ride yesterday, and on the way I took a detour towards
Wayne County.. I found a great spot to throw a wire up in some very high
trees for 40 and 80 meters. Even stopped at the post office to confirm the
location was in Wayne County.. God willing, next year the county will be
covered. I will operate from there for about five hours on Saturday. This should
help some guys towards their next years sweep.
We only have about 350 days to prepare LOL
