[PaQSO] Dupe Sheet from N1MM

  Charlie:

Why would a dupe sheet be necessary for an electronic submission? Seems
like a redundancy. N1MM shouts at you in Red Letters that a potential
contact is a dupe, so unless you're really asleep at the switch, there
should be no dupes. Many other logging programs won't even let you
enter a dupe, but, I can see that, for some "big" contests, if the time
on a contact isn't within a few minutes of that in the corresponding
log, then the contact won't be counted. So, there's probably a reason
n1mm accepts a dupe, but gives it zero points and zero multipliers.

Besides, the log checking software should be able to determine dupes.
If it can't, so be it.

Since it seems a dupe sheet is absitively necessary and N1MM won't do
it, you can import the data into a spreadsheet (like Excel, OpenOffice,
etc.), and sort by band/mode/call (in that order), and "voila" you have
a dupe sheet in electronic form.

I think the Nittny club is a small club, with a small budget, so they
like donations to help fill the budget to cover the expenses. I don't
have a problem with that. I don't think anyone has a problem with
that. The requirement for a paper summary sheet does seem like an
anachronism to me. Maybe they should subscribe to Paypal and offer it
as a method to accept donations? The 7% expense for Paypal could be
covered by suggesting $3.25 or $3.50 instead of $3.00 for paper
donations. It would save the donor postage time, and trouble, and
probably get more donations via the 21th century method of donation.
