I have a little more time today to elaborate on the post from the
other day.
There was confusion regarding the Party rules for 2009. People were
getting the wrong year's rules, while I had things updated. Finally,
with help from a member, and looking at the website's directory
structure, I figured it out. NARC has a webmaster who takes care of
the club side of the web, and I do all the PAQSO web stuff. Probably
an invitation to trouble, but I had to get rid of some of the work.
So after looking at the structure and the links, I noticed that for
some reason, the webmaster had made copies of last year's rules and
pdf's, and put them in a separate folder. He then linked to those
files on the NARC home page instead of the ones on the PAQSO pages.
And wouldn't you know it, Google's crawlers linked to that link
instead of mine.
I didn't want to go in and change the NARC home page, I figure a guys
html is his own ya' know, but this was a real problem. So I decided to
make a redirect. But Google and other search engines don't look
kindly on redirects, so I had to make it a long duration, 15 seconds,
so they wouldn't think it was some nasty site or something like that.
But there is a link to take you right to the official pages if you're
impatient like me.
So final on that is that if you get a odd looking page with just our
redirect on it, it is just there to get around the problem until I get
the webmaster to change his links.
On to other things,
I am figuring out the sponsors issues now, and will make a further
update when I get that. Here is the sponsors list as I have it now

* Where I have a problem is with the SSB division, where two
different people are involved. I need to move the sponsor to Pete
Varonis, who was the original idea behind the plaque. I need to find
something for Jay, If he still wishes.
Originally, I was not going to add any new plaques for this year, but
since we are at this juncture, I will do so if wishes indicate.
If anyone or group wants to stop sponsoring their plaque also let me
know.
If someone wants to sponsor a new plaque, this is the time to do it.
I know Julius N2WN wanted to sponsor a plaque.
Costs for a plaque are still 35 dollars. After the final list is made
in the next few days, I will send out the bills for them.
The plaques will be getting a redesign this year.
