I am sure glad I did not go tenting like I did last year.. We set up a small multi op station at Elaine's QTH (K3VQE) in Nanticoke, Pa.
Elaine did the phone portion of the contest and I had a few low dipoles on CW running low power.. On Sunday afternoon we had a few club members stop by and help out with some nice runs.
Twenty meters was by far the most productive on SSB.. We really appreciated the guys out west giving us their number one's and two's. And I was able to make contacts on 80 meter CW at any time of the day or night. Fourty was very noisy but I think the big problem was the dipole was not high enough
We wound up with around 1120 contacts and 192,900 for a final score
Not bad for some older hams that took breaks for whimpies and brownies..
My thought's are now towards next years quest
