Bud worked almost 5x as many stations as we did, but we have more counties?
Now that's unexpected!
Only worked 221 stations (I definitely need to find some new skyhooks, but
this happens with a city-sized lot...), but 54 counties. I think only the
year I worked 65 through Saturday was better (and still missed a sweep by 1
due to family obligations!)
Heard Elk (in S&P mode) but never could catch up with him; same with Wayne &
Indiana Cos. Heard N3ZNI/M in Clearfield, but he couldn't hear me. Never
heard Fulton, JUN, MIF, MTR, SUL, CRN, CLI... so our work is cut out for us.
And on top of everything else, one op had to leave early (family emergency),
another had to postpone until tomorrow (family emergency), one was caught
travelling and will be here tomorrow, and one... I hope he didn't get hurt
at the Pitt game, he was supposed to come over afterwards... so it goes.
Tomorrow should be interesting, if everyone shows up who was supposed to.
Sure hope everyone else worked an AZ station in the AZ QSO Party for a mult.
And as anticipated, nabbed a KH6 on 40 CW after midnight courtesy of the
Oceanic CW Contest for another mult. Whatever works!
Time for the adrenaline to settle down. I'll see you guys in the morning.
(PS -- my daughter baked brownies, if anyone wants to stop over, while they
last...)
