[PaQSO] 2009 PQP Special Event Station

I like the idea of K3CR. Particularly since they would be unlikely to come up QRP, which I think is a poor idea. I have always felt the receiving station should get the bonus points when working a QRP station.

K3CR up at Penn State.  Direct descendant of the wireless station put on the
air by the EE Department in December 1909, so this is their 100th
Anniversary coming up.  They were first licensed as 8XE in 1912, but then,
so were all of the other Pioneer wireless stations of the time.

For that matter, the Nittany ARC Gilbert L. Crosley Memorial Station, W3YA,
would also work, as it is also a direct descendant of the pioneer that
became 8XE.

[And, pardon the digression, I sure hope that plaque from the Class of 1912
radio tower that was on the K3CR station door, inside of the old 202
Engineering Unit "E" QTH, survived the move of the station subsequent to the
demolition of the building; who knows anymore?]
