[PaQSO] PA QSO VE sections

Ah. Why didn't you say so in the first place?
Looking over the list of prefixes online, I can see where there might be
some confusion.
Clearly, the provinces that make up VE1 are each counted separately.
The rest of the provinces aren't a problem, since each has its own prefix.
Nor is Northwest Territory VE8.
VY1 YUK for Yukon Territory is listed in the prefixes, so there's no
confusion there.
"V02" is clearly a typo, since the V Zero prefix is unassigned! I don't
know offhand if Mike meant V Oh 2 (Labrador) or V Y 0 or what. That should
be cleared up in the 2009 version, once it's been brought to his attention.
But that typo is probably what's causing your confusion. That (IMHO) is
most likely meant to be the Nunavut prefix.
And you've answered your own question. NU would be what I'd expect a VY0
station to send for an abbreviation. That would be consistent with the 2
letter codes that the other provinces (except PEI) send. NUN would also
(IMHO) be acceptable.
And... just out of idle curiosity, who's program are you updating?

Ron,
I am just trying to understand the VE multiplier list in the 2008 and 2009
rules and update a contesting program.
I was expecting that with the prefixes and the answer to my VY0 question, I
could figure out the intent.
Hopefully this clears up your confusion.
