[PaQSO] Promotional items query

Hey all,

The personalized mugs, which have been a staple of the party ever  
since I became involved in it, are in danger of going the way of the  
dinosaurs.

The 100 QSO club mugs are not being ordered in enough quantity to  
justify their future existence. There is a minimum order for the mugs,  
and last year we dipped below that number for the first time.

The number of mugs has been dropping over the past several years, I  
suspect that many of you are like me, and have a cabinet full of them.  
This drop is worse than it might seem initially, since 14 of the mugs  
this past year have been ordered by NARC members who made a big effort  
last year.

There have been some suggestions by members of this list and others:

1. Remove the personalization.

	This has some merit. People who might not otherwise qualified for a  
mug could get one. Also, some mugs are broken each year, and they  
really can't be replaced with another one - unless we wanted the mugs  
to cost a couple hundred dollars a piece due to the set-up charges for  
personalization. I try to compensate by shipping a new mug wrapped in  
a T-shirt.

2. Something else

	There have been suggestions of travel mugs.


What d'ya all think? Some feedback plz...
