[PaQSO] Letters to legislators

Ron et Al,
I called my Representative (Karen Boback) this morning seeking her
support. The staffer I spoke with suggested I call Rep. Kathy Watson, the
primary sponsor of HB1777. I did and spoke with a staff person at her office
who noted my concern and recorded my name and phone number. I was pleasently
suprised when Rep. Watson called me back.
Rep. Watson feels the bill may still come up for a vote Monday or
Tuesday. That will be the last chance for this session. The bill to be voted
upon by the Legislature probably will be the Senate version, SB884 sponsored
by Senator Greenleaf. (I'm not sure how the process runs, but Rep. Watson
seemed comfortable with that.) SB844 passed the Senate 49 to 1.
I think it best to call/write/email our Senators and Representatives for
their support when the bill comes up, whether it be HB1777 or SB884.
