[PaQSO] Logging Programs

I am thinking about doing something this year, but have some software questions:

1.I am curious as to what others recommend as far as logging programs for a multi station?

2.Is the software free, if not, how much $?

3.Does your preference accurately score the various oddities of the contest, such as county line stations, 1.5 point q's, rovers, mobiles?

4.Are the VHF bands permitted in the software?

5.Can you use different serial numbers, then later merge them in the program?  If not, how do you recommend a merge of logs?

In the past I used the KA3JWE version, but know that is no longer available.  It was great and did all the neat stuff.  I am looking for something easy and correct, and preferably cheap or free.  Thanks.
