Mike,
I find it interesting that after all of the private messages I sent and at
least one voice message I left WITHOUT any responses, that when I decided to
go public with my issues I FINALLY get a response. This is why I have
decided to continue this publicly.
For the record I used WB3W's PQP logging software and while it prints a
reasonable facsimilie of the summary form, electronic versions of the same
are strangely formatted. Probably due to the HTML but that is beyond my
immediate control.
However, if I had been told that there was a problem (which I NEVER was) I
would have taken care of the issue as soon as possible. The PQP and my 2007
BED effort meant enough to me that I wanted to make sure my logs were in. I
suspected that there was a problem when the other logs sent in the same
envelope (I coordinate WARC's entry) were listed on the log's received page
but mine wasn't. That was when the e-mail queries and eventual phone
queries started. All WITHOUT responses. It wasn't listed until after I
blindly sent the electronic logs in December. And that was an act of
desperation. Upon listing, it did note that a summary sheet was received.
I also included a note when I e-mailed the 2007 BED log indicating the
summary was badly formatted and if it was a problem that I would create
another. Again, no response.
I don't know why my PQP log's suddenly have problems. They went in fine for
years including 2002 CLI which needed the extra Worked all 67 list. 2003
CAR and multiple BUX never had any issues indicated to me. 2005 SUS was
misplaced and now 2007 BED gets misplaced again. I can understand SUS
getting mis-handled with the change in chairmanship that year. This
happened to a lot of logs that year amongst other hiccups. But an e-mail
for the SUS log got things rolling to get it sorted out. The logs received
page was intended to address the lost logs issue. For 2007 BED I detected
an issue on the logs received page, queried REPEATEDLY, got no answer and
finally blindly sent in what I had. Additionally, I enabled read receipts
on the e-mails and received acknowledgements that the e-mails were opened
but I never received any reply to the contents of the e-mails..
I fully understand NARC is not the ARRL or CQ magazine with a dedicated and
paid contest handling staff. And I accept I may not get a reply to a
question for several days. But to not receive any replies from November
2007 until now further demonstrates my point that I had no opportunity to
correct any issues.
I followed the NARC's PQP rules and guidelines, printed a resonable summary
form substitute (and you probably have a bunch of others in the smae format)
and sent everything in by the original deadline. When I detected a problem
and asked about it, a single sentence reply that you do not have the log or
the summary sheet needs to be redone in proper format was all that I needed
to hear. Again I got nothing until now.
I have created a new summary sheet so you can include my 2007 BED log in the
official results. I will scan this into a PDF file and send it to you via a
separate e-mail.

Mark N3GNW
