Goody, you articulate things QUITE well and I enjoy reading your informative comments. Didn't mean to drench/end the discussion.

This morning, I just happened to have breakfast with some remaining original members of Trexlertown International Transmitting Society (go ahead ... construct the acronym).

One member commented that when these scoring changes occur, "it dilutes (perverts?) the historical scores obtained over the whole life of the contest".   [parenthetical insert MINE!]

Kinda reminds me of the current controvery of BASEBALL, where the recordes of steriod-using athletes (QRO operators?...just joking) are in the SAME record book as my great uncle BABE RUTH.  (Yeah, I wish).

"...the gentleman's contest that I use to participate in" comment tweaked a sentimental nerve that I feel is somewhat missing in our hobby today.

OK, time to hang my blanket out to dry; I just might be ALL WET!

P.S.  I was also told this morning that Don Reamer may have stopped supporting his program due to a "priority reset" due to his young growing family.
