I still subscribe to the "ain't broke don't fix it" theory. Having 
operated since the 70's in the QSO Party I can say it was pretty much a 
KISS process. Turn on your radio in October after the CAL qso party and 
operate the PA qso party, rules stay the same, not much to do except 
have fun. Logging by hand and eventually with the Apple II and a 
homemade software swizzle. Now it seems we need to get "complex". Beats 
me, maybe it's the "pants below the ass and hats on sideways" era?? 
Before I retired, I can remember managers in my company with a saying 
that applies, we even had it on a plaque on the wall.
