I think this is one of those unintended consequences things.
Somewhere, someone made the rule that portables have to be singles.
I'm not sure exactly why, but they did. Then Gene's operation came
up. I believe that his sort of setup is not only legit, but it sounds
like a great way to enjoy the party.
So we came up with a way for them to enjoy the party. Since they
aren't eligible for any awards, no one is being rooked out of
anything except them.
There is an advisory board formed to go over some of these
questions. I approach the effort with both anticipation and a bit of
trepidation. There is no rule we can make or change that can't be a
problem somewhere along the line.. <g>
