Last weeks meeting firmed up our times and band switching during the QSO Party. In the past, we have been very successful helping our club members make quick contacts on inactive frequencies. This is especially important for our Technician Licensed Operators. The low band operators will probably not take the time to do the Frenzy on Saturday. But when things slow down on Sunday, there will be an added boost of contacts.
This year we welcome all the operators statewide to get involved. A list of bands and frequencies are enclosed
Times enclosed are local time. Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
146 mc FM 146.490 146.550 146.580 - 4pm
ask locals if they can immediately go to 223.500 and 446.00
50 mc SSB 50.125 - 4:30
50 mc CW 50.100 - 4:45
28.480 SSB 5:00
28.040 CW 5:15
21.380 SSB 5:30
21.040 CW 5:45
In the past, this was not published statewide. But I asked the club President how much money we made in years past if we won the club score. The main reason is to activate some of the VHF bands so our new members can get their feet wet in operating contests. We are only asking for one hour of their time to make a few contacts.
I will repost this at a future date
