That's exactly the point!  There were a lot of RTTY
stations working down there because that's where they
are supposed to be!  Almost everywhere else on the
planet works RTTY down around 7040 or even lower.
That IS their bandplan!

Here in The QSO Party, we get credit for one DX multiplier.
Quite frankly, I've never worked a lot of DX on 40 CW
during The Party, even when I was running 1500 watts and
a 2-element beam.  I wouldn't expect much to be worked
on RTTY either.  I don't think there is a lot of incentive
for them to go that far down the band.

I feel that the whole thing is much ado about nothing.
I don't expect there to be very much RTTY or PSK31
activity and I don't see all that much incentive for
them to stray into the traditional CW segments (for
American amateurs).
