[PaQSO] RTTY Roundup

IMHO, this is "much ado about nothing".

On 40 meters, in a world-wide RTTY contest, signals can be heard from
7020 all the way to 7100. Very few signals are below 7030 and I rarely
will work a station that is below 7030, just because I don't wonder down
that far when in S&P mode. I called CQ just above 7030 on a few
occasions, 7050 on a few occasions and 7085 on a few occasions. On ALL
occasions, before calling CQ, I listened for stations (in any mode)
before I blasted away with CQ. There were two or three times when there
was deliberate interference on my frequency from a station(s) sending
gibberish CW and one time a CW signal sending "QRM QRM QRM QRM" and
other profane stuff on top of ongoing contest QSOs. I consider that
behavior to be something other than "kind and courteous". If someone
comes on and sends "could you please move, we are starting a net here"
or something along those lines, I'll move with no problem. My response
to gibberish and deliberate interference is to turn the power up and
turn down the volume. Normally the lame brain idiot will get tired and
disappear.

See you in October.
