  Anyone interested in restoring the Television Broadcast Receiver provision 
deliberately disabled in USA versions of this radio, can find a simple mod in 
the February 2006 CQ Magazine, pages 96 & 97.
  With accompanying photographs, it describes simply unsoldering a surface 
mount diode.
  A second diode adjacent to the first, can also be removed from the circuit 
to enable MARS operation frequencies.
