[PaQSO] Can't Work If You Don't Try

The whole point of the reflector is to have debate, so
I don’t what the BS comment was all about? Don’t get
that one. If you don’t like, don’t read! I don’t
like ballet, so I don’t go to ballet websites.

I cannot coerce anyone to operate anywhere, but the
issue was the legality of the VHF bands, which was
never adequately addressed.

Having done this contest from a few multi stations, I
can say that VHF has yielded between 125-250 contacts
per year, for the past four QSO’s that I have done.
6m and 2m are the best, but there were some FM worked
elsewhere.

There is nothing wrong with having a radio in scan
mode during the contest. If someone calls, you
answer. A crazy thought would be to toss out a CQ
yourself, once in awhile! That might make activity.

Another thing is that the mobiles typically all have
some VHF. They can work you.

I have suggested a 2m FM activity time of 4 PM Sunday
several times in the past. The Murgas Club does that
every year. Others are catching on, because people
not in the club show up at that time, too.

Never fear things you don't understand, learn about
them!
