[PaQSO] SOM Antennas up

I just returned from SOMERSET county after a successful
trip to select a site and install the antennas.  My original
plan was to operate from the parking area at the actual
highest point in Pennsylvania.  After inspecting the site
I decided that stunted growth trees and a lack of open
space didn't make for a good antenna location.

I did mange to find a perfect location about 1/2 mile away
and only 30' lower in altitude.  A boy scout cleared a large
area and built a viewing deck for his eagle scout project.
It overlooks a lake down in the valley.  A perfect takeoff
to the West.

I installed dipoles for 80, 40 (works on 15 also) and 20
as well as a long wire for 160 meters.  The dipoles run
North and South to maximize our signal to the East and
West.

We will have two stations on the air most of the time
and are looking forward to working all of you on as
many bands as possible.  Please note that this is a
SATURDAY ONLY operation so don't wait until
Sunday to work us as we won't be there!
