[PaQSO] RTTY in the PaQSO Party

In reading this thread I can't help but chuckle at the suggestions that
adding RTTY to the Party could jeopardize current records, or that it might
intimidate the die-hard CW ops.  

I really enjoy operating in the RTTY contests but I can't imagine for a
moment there being enough RTTY activity in the PaQP to make an appreciable
difference.  If this becomes part of the contest, I hope it proves me wrong.


And for the "it ain't broke so don't fix it" crowd.........take a look at
the technology available to us today in our hobby and thank your lucky stars
that the developers responsible for it didn't take that attitude.  

By the way, my current inclination is that it doesn't matter to me whether
RTTY is included or not, as it will probably have little to no impact on my
operating habits.  The only time I would attempt to make a RTTY contact is
on Sunday afternoon, and only if I heard a significant number of RTTY
signals on the air.
