I congratulate Ed on kicking my collective a$$ yet another year. Your score
of 225,556 is a fabulous effort indeed.

Having headed out for a Denver business trip the morning after returning
home from Warren County, I've not yet calculated my score, but I do know
that it is far below last years 207,000 points.

Bob, N3FR

Total: 657 498 Mults = 139 Total Score = 225,556

Missed BRA for the county sweep. First time I've missed the county sweep
since 1993. (I'd insert one of those sad faces here if I was computer savvy
enough)

Missed RI for the first time in (at least) 8 years.

Score includes 13 Q's with W3UU bonus station(s).

My 75 CW Q's on 160M were just shy of my all time record (86 in 1996).

Added a 40 meter dipole cut to the phone band at the last minute. Not
having to run the internal tuner at every band change was a help. Thinking
about adding another antenna next year cut to 75 phone for the same
reason.

My CW to phone ratio was higher than ever this year; 57/43. Closest before
was 2002 at 56/44 and average over past 9 years is 51/49.

I have to wonder if I (inadvertently) "stole" a frequency from WA3HAE on 20
CW Sunday. I QSY'd to that band, found what sounded like a quite spot and
sent "QRL?". Hearing no reply, I listened for a 4 or 5 seconds. Still heard
nothing so I sent "?" and heard "?" in reply. I then sent a CQ message, and
got a reply from WA3HAE. Usually, in the Pa QSO party, when I get a "?"
after sending QRL?, I get a call from a 6 or 7 lander, or maybe a DX
station, so I thought it a little strange that WA3HAE would be "hanging
out" on 20 waiting for a PA station to show up. But I logged the QSO with
WA3HAE and sent QRZ and worked 4 or 5 more stations relatively quickly.
Then it hit me that maybe WA3HAE send the "?" because he thought someone
had replied to his CQ (which I never heard). If that was the case, I hereby
apologize.

Discovered that those long life light bulbs the state uses in the table
lamps in the cabins are a large noise source. Kept them turned off. Wonder
how much, if any, problem they caused me in the past.

Already have a few ideas for next year, but they are in the "classified"
folder, just in case N3FR is listening.

Thanks N3ZNI for FOR late in the game....figured I'd miss the sweep by two
before bumping into them.

Thanks to W3USA for 10 Q's. Also, 7 with LXR, 6 with MUT, 4 with KN4SK, ZNI
and the W3UU mobile.

Thanks N6MU for the WTX mult. John QSY'd me to 15 CW @ 2013z Sunday (from
20 meters). So I figured I call CQ on 15 a few times and low and behold, a
minute later AA5IA from WTX answers me. He gave me QSO #5, so at least 4
others got him.

Last mult was EB from NO6X @ 2107z. I finished the first half with only 119
mults and thought it might be a bad mult year, but my 139 total is actually
one of my best years. I usually get 135 or so.

CQ Bradford, CQ Bradford...............
