W3UU is not competing in the PA QSO PARTY for any score or Club Aggregate. We
had previously agreed to provide only the check logs to the NARC scoring
team. We have no interest in breaking records, making high scores, or beating
anyone. W3UU founded the PA QSO PARTY, and we look forward to adding a new twist
to the PA QSO PARTY this year for all of you. We are there to give you the 200
points per contact. It's gonna be like shooting fish in a barrel for you.

As far as logging and ID's, it is important that YOU log the county
correctly, we will be giving our ID as W3UU/COUNTY only with exception of the ROVER who
will ID as a W3UU/ROVER/COUNTY. My understanding about the W3UU ROVER as a
BONUS POINTS STATION is that it does differ from a W3UU FIXED station in the
same county. The BONUS POINTS ROVER STATION should be counted separate for EACH
AND EVERY COUNTY it passes through. That is why you should do the BONUS POINTS
ID's manually on a ruled page, then add the score in the "OFFICIAL SUMMARY AND
SCORE SHEET at the end of your tally. You may count the multiplier for
county, band, or mode in your regular logs, but you only get that once. The
W3UU/ROVER and W3UU/FIXED in the same county should not be duped in your log, only on
your separate work sheet for the BONUS POINTS QSO's. Add up all the times you
worked the BONUS POINTS stations on your paper worksheet and add that into
the box marked "Enter Number of QSO's with W3UU," then X 200 = FINAL BONUS
TOTAL.

It should be worth the effort to write these down at 200 points per contact.
We will only be running fixed stations in DAUPHIN, CUMBERLAND, YORK, and PERRY
counties on all modes and all bands. The FIXED W3UU stations will not be
moving around much. We will try to find good frequencies for the FIXED STATIONS
and post them for you on the clusters. The ROVER will be playing "Where's Waldo"
with you. The ROVER has the potential of many counties/bands/modes so he is
the MOST IMPORTANT W3UU station to track.

REMEMBER: W3UU BONUS POINTS STATIONS ARE WORTH 200 POINTS PER BAND, MODE,
COUNTY, FIXED, ROVER. For those that are a little challenged with this, be glad
were not doing Aeronautical mobile, and Maritime mobile too.

I will attempt to make up an adobe acrobat W3UU BONUS POINTS work sheet for
you and give you a download location from the W3UU club page by tomorrow. W3UU
home page is http://hrac.tripod.com

Thank You,
Pete deVolpi, K3PD
President HRAC - W3UU
