4. Now, for the DINNER. The Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary have agreed to provide, in their "Cook House", (family-seating for 120 people) the following: A "family-style" meal of roasted Ham & Turkey (two meats), mashed potatoes, gravy, filling, hot vegetables, dessert, and beverage. (non-alcoholic) Cost for this meal is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children under 12, children under 6 are FREE, and all proceeds from this meal go to the Decatur Vol. Fire Co. In addition to their "Breakfast Menu",(Ham/Bacon/Egg/Cheese Sandwiches, etc.) the "ladies" will have this meal ready-to-serve at 1PM. Bowls of Potatoes, Gravy, Vegetables, and Platters of carved meat will be placed on each row of tables, - - "You help yourself, and pass it along" ! Yes, a Ham Dinner (and turkey) for HAM FAMILIES ! We feel that this will avoid any traveling, and searching for a "commercial restaurant", by any group, - - there will be no hassle with the general public, and, we think it will BE FUN in a FAMILY SETTING !
Necessarily, we must know the "approximate number" of those who will partake of the meal, to allow sufficient time for the Ladies Auxiliary to make all preparations. For those who wish to partake of the meal, pse SASE, with appropriate payment, to WB3IVX, Cliff Bell, 107 Washington Ave., Lewistown, Pa., 17044. Cliff has computer-generated the appropriate tickets, and they will be returned via "Snail Mail", to the meal-subscribers prior to Aug. 1, 2004.
"The time for PaQP 2004 is drawing nigh", and we hope that all participants, and their family members will have fond memories of their visit to JVARC Hamfest/PaQP-MAQP Meet-n-Greet 2004.
We still have still have sufficient time to entertain any thoughts/suggestions/inquiries....., and, all are welcome.
