Hi Gang,
I think this question of jurisdiction depends on the exact use of the
operation.
For most awards WET LINES cannot be used to claim multiple counties.
Waterways falling under a definite jurisdiction can be used as part of one
jurisdiction usually.
If you are contesting, I'd suggest asking the contest sponsors what their
rules will and will not allow.
A few years ago I was among the first to operate from Pee Wee Island in
Raystown Lake. In order to clain the island for award status, since our
radios were on the boat, we mounted out antennas fixed on the island and
hand carried a generator on the island as a power source. That made us part
of the island and not just a boat so we could legally give out the island.
We had to follow the rules of Jurisdiction to qualify the island for the U S
Islands awards program.
Checking with the sponsors of your intended activity should clarify what is
a very good question.
