[PaQSO] What are you going to do different this year?

All,

Last year was my first portable effort in CLI and it went well. The
Alpha Delta DX-CC dipole I used was perfect except for 160. I also ran
a coax to the 2/220/440 antenna on the van for those just in case
contacts but other than terminating the V/UHF output on the 706 it
didn't do much for me.

This year I'm staying closer to home and going to CAR. I am going to
duplicate what worked and try a few new wrinkles:
o Pop-up camper instead of cabin. May be a little chilly since it
doesn't have a built in furnace. I'll have to use an electric heater.
o Since the campground is quite high I'm going to borrow a dual band
Cushcraft Ringo and strap it to the side of the pop-up camper.
Hopefully I can work into Scranton, Allentown, BUX and MGY.
o Again since I've got some height, I'm going to put something up for
6m, maybe my B&W apartment antenna. A dozen Q's for a couple of minutes
installation effort will be worth it.
o Shorting plug to get the DX-CC to load on 160m.
o Narrow SSB and CW filters for the 706 so I can keep a bit of sanity.

Anybody else planing changes?
