Hello everybody,
first thanks to all for a great weekend in the recent PA-QSO-Party.
Had much fun again.
About Your thoughts for changes:
Don't You think that especially the activity by Mobiles drive every
state-QSO-party which is successfull?
Ofcourse combined with them a good activity in all by Rovers, Portables
and locals is needed to get all counties available. But I think changing
the current situation to "get all on air by fixed stations" will bring
no progress. It will on other hand make it very easy to get a sweep and
if it would be really "easy" to work N01PA ... N67PA so why I should
next year participate again?
I achieved a better result this year than last (64 counties compared to
58 last year) but again didn't made the sweep. So I for sure hope I can
make this next year and that's on of the main reasons I'll be active
again next year. This year I missed CRA, SUS and TIO. for overall worked
counties I'm missing now only Tioga as I worked 3 new counties in this
year's party.
I don't think it would be a really great improvement to make special
arrangements to get all counties availabe on ease. From comments on
reflector I understoud that I worked several counties which seem that
they were rare but on other hand I missed Tioga p.e. where several
stations were active :-)
But isn't all this together with the great joy following the Mobiles and
their plans what makes such parties a great event for us?
