[PaQSO] VFO Locked Stations: MORPH TIME

I like where Bob's heading with this....Indeed, maybe the programmers will
pick up on it and add something so we can tell our software to alert us
when we've wandered into the mobile window.
But don't stop there.........
Maybe give us a few little piggies wandering across our screen when we
wander into the 3.855Khz area???
How about a big "test pattern" wiping out your logging window when you tune
around 14.230Khz???
And maybe the Robbie the robot voice from Lost In Space shouting "Danger
Will Robinson" everytime you wandered near any of the well established net
freq's. (County hunters, Centruy club, ex-U S Navy Radiomen's Association)
Other suggestions?

Actually I think I may have wondered into that window a time or two. This
year will see a yellow sticky-note on the monitor warning me to not plant
my
butt there.
Now there's one for the programmers. I use NA software and it alerts you
with a flashing message when you tune outside of the ham bands. What would
be very useful is if the operator could set additional limits, thus the
program would alert you when venturing inside whatever windows you feel
should be protected.
I know, I know.....yellow sticky time.
We're gettin' close folks! WA3SES is leaving for his camp in only 5 day,
and I'm leaving in 8 days!! Throw in the California QSO Party this coming
weekend and before ya know it, it's time to rock and roll!!
Best regards.

Theres no point talking about this because talking about it and actually
doing it is two diffrent things. i even find myself not following the
unwritten rule of ham radio sometimes. but besides this since were on this
subject is how about keeping + and - 5 khz from the moblie window i missed
a
ton of moblies going through counties i could have used serval times
because
i had a VFO locked station to the side or right on the moblie window
frequency. Just an FYI
