Hi there,
While cleaning up one of the dark and dreary, (dungeon-like),
corners of my basement, I ran across a February 1988 issue
of a local classified newspaper. I wondered why I would have
saved it. Upon closer inspection I noted an ad which was
circled. I thought you might get a kick out of it. This was
just 15 years ago. Boy how time flies. Here it is.
FOR SALE: NEW COMMODORE
128D, 2002 monitor. Comes com-
plete with all manuals, cables,
system diskettes, etc. Still under
warranty. Asking $600. Must sell.
Has built-in drive; 100% C-64
compatible. Great way to
upgrade. 847-xxxx after 5.
In the same issue was a commercial ad for an AT Compatable
Computer, 10MHZ Turbo, 40 megabyte hard drive and
1.2 meg floppy drive; With monochrome monitor $1599;
with CGA - $1839, and with EGA - $2050. Also an
80-column dot matrix printer $150 with any system.
I think I still have one around somewhere, that I would gladly
sell for $6, if someone would come around and dig it out!!!!
Everyone have a great summer. Get some antenna work
done, and stay out of the sun and lightning.
