Well as for the 2 meter i think the VHF stuff is well worth the efforts i
have no access to 6 meters but i know that 6 would work very well to grab
some other QSO's I have noticed a trend in the PAQSO as more and more people
upgraded such as myself the VHF activity has gone down. i remember the first
few years that i operated in the PAQSO on just 2 meters and 440 only. i was
able to work 96 QSO's now with everyone limiting themselves to HF i don't
think i see that score if i limited myself to VHF and UHF again. usually
when people talk about VHF anfd UHF they only think about 2 meter FM what
about 2 Meter SBB?? you can get a little more distance out of SBB then FM
with a good Beam.
