[PaQSO] PAQSO Ideas

I like the idea of an "official" T-shirt but not to the exclusion of the
coffee mug. Several guys in our group are non-coffeedrinkers also but we've
found, through years of extensive experimentation, that these PAQSO Mugs
work with a wide variety of beverages!

Let's keep something in mind, too...

Right now, only the "100 QSO Club" can order coffee mugs. But why not make
T-Shirts available to any participant who operates, regardless of Q number?
(Or hats, mugs, etc.) The speciall "100 Q" mugs can still be available to
those who qualify as a separate item.

And let's be honest. It takes $ to fund the contest -- print the
certificates, mail them & the contest results to those not on line, buy beer
& pizza for the committee (just kidding Chuck!), etc. So if NARC can make a
buck or three on T-Shirts -- with the provisio that this $ goes right into
the ledger to offset the contest costs -- why not make them available?

And now, the 2003 Version of the Jack Bogut Memorial Joke:
Why aren't they serving beer at PNC Park this year?
Because (drumroll please), the Pirates lost the Opener!

The T-shirt idea sounds nice to me. Besides the WV and CA QSO parties, the
WRTC contests offered T-shirts as prizes to stations who worked a certain
number of the WRTC stations. Sure would be cool to have a PA QSO shirt to
wear to the summer hamfests ;-)
