Jim,
I completely understand your desire to fulfill the needs
of the other participants, but one facet of it puzzles me.
Lets make an example.
You have operated in County 'A' as a rover.
Now you wish to move to County 'C' for another rover
location. I can understand and would accept any mobile
contacts in either County 'A' or 'C' as being part of the
rover operation. No problem (to me).
However, how would you classify your 'mobile' operation
while passing through County 'B'? You certainly couldn't
claim it to be Rover.
As an aside, I have been doing the portable thing for
about 14 years with a fairly elaborate antenna set-up.
I don't think I would be interested in Rover. You guys
are to be commended.
I wonder if a power limit was set at, say, 120 watts, if
that would make the playing field a little more level.
Oh well, I guess that's another can or worms.
